The Simpson Prize began in 1999 and is supported by the Australian Government Department of Education through Civics and Citizenship Education and is run by the History Teachers’ Association of Australia (HTAA).
The Simpson Prize is a national civics-based research competition for Year 9 and 10 Students which focuses on the service of Australians in World War One and World War Two.
The Chair of the Simpson Prize is Mr Paul Foley, who is also the Vice President of the Australian History Teachers Association.
The National Capital Educational Tourism Project (NCETP) is the Secretariat for the Simpson Prize Competition.
